First match of round nine has been played; a glorious (and inevitable) victory for The Inevitables over the Colourblind Redskins!

1st half, The Inevitables started with the ball and, using the inevitable zig-zag maneuvre, managed to outrun the Redskins and score in Turn 7.

This left the Redskins with a 2-turn scoring option, and in turn 7 they sent 2 Blitzers forward into scoring positions and a Goblin near the Troll for TTM shenanigans. The Invitables, as was inevitable, were somewhat overconfident and tried to pressure the ball instead of properly covering the Blitzers, allowing the Redskins to play some Elfball and score the 1-1.

2nd half started with a Blitz, which The Inevitables bungled when Your evil scheme being foiled by meddling kids's evil scheme to pressure the ball was actually foiled, probably by those meddling kids, and he failed to go for it.

Thus, the Redskins attained control of the ball and started their drive forward. However, still thinking themselves to be Elves, the Redskins overextended their cage, allowing the Inevitables to put serious pressure on the ballcarrier and halting the Redskins advance near the half-way line. A vicious scrum ensued, but when The Inevitables started knocking Redskins off the field, and the Redskins' desperate breakout attempt failed miserably, it was inevitable that the Redskins' ballcarrier would come under attack. It was Death who did the deed, pushing Bob Ballenrosser into the crowd and ending all hopes of the Redskins to win the match.

To the uninitiated observer, it would seem as if The Inevitables still could fail to actually win themselves, but victory was, of course, inevitable, and with a pickup and a handoff, Your evil scheme being foiled by meddling kids was on his way to score and redeem himself, unreachable by the Redskins, who yet again proved too slow and clumsy to catch up with The Inevitables.

So once more The Inevitables showed why they belong in the top of the League!

Verslag JelmerNNG) vs SirSebstar(Walkers) or Norse on Norse.
Jelmers objective keep his positionals. Seb’s to keep his SnowTroll and stay ahead of Vinz_D on it with casualties.
To get ahead of ourselves, Jelmers Objective failed, Sebs objective no improvement.
At the start we had nice weather, FF+1 went to Seb and the kick to Jelmer. Which was what he wanted and needed. T1 saw a bit of pushing.
A daring attack on the stars led to a Walker being KO’d. Soon after Boomber folded under the weight of a pilling on action. The chainsaw was busy cutting people up but lacked the intensity for damage. An hit on the Walkers’s AG4 Thrower succeeded in a Niggle, an apo was called to the field and turned it into an BH (twice) After that things looked like they were balanced, and then the penny dropped as well as the PO actions. In quick succession KO’s and CAS followed at the side of NNG. Soon NNG was relegated to dodging to find any kind of safe position. To NNG’s utter dismay one of his 3 remaining positionals got an Niggle, whereupon the APO nearly killed the player. No break for Jelmer here.
The cage was assiduously maintained but the Walkers were baying for blood and hunting the slower backside, slowly gaining on the masses. T7 saw a Touchdown being unable to stall any turn longer. Only half the KO’s came back on NNG’s side, and all 2 on the walker side.
An NNG defense was set up far in the deep hinterland. The kick went all the way to the LOS and dropped one back. The walkers all walked forward, but the PO’s did their job in removing the LOS out of immediate action. Enough walkers were in scoring position to make defending the endzone difficult. The ball was picked up, thrown, caught and the AG5 player walked to the Dodge runner to handoff. The ball was now safely ensconced in a sort of cage. NNG moved to get in the way, a 3d blitz and an handoff to AG4 later and the ball was over the line. 1-1
Half 2, several players were injured, sent off or ko’d and refused to come back. NNG was out of options. A few KO’s were made, one casualty and the hunt was on. Walkers went to the field with excitement, and the fans wanted to get in on the fun. despite a pitch invasion that knocked down 4 walkers and only one of the remaining 7 NNG’s there was not enough to put pressure on the ball area and halfway through a second walker TD was scored.
A 3th walker TD was scored in T7 when 4 players remained after a blitz was thrown, to add insult to injury. It fixed the LOS and moved the fast players up to the ball and the game was (nearly) over. The last setup put the strength on the LOS with Guard in the middle, there was to be nothing but pushes.
Jelmer put up a brave fight, but the fight was soon to be decided by dice. There were times he could use something to his advantage, and he used them well, but the two teams really don’t compare. Soon it became a race between trying to cas his players and him trying to KO them or getting sent off.
