Nou, dat was... in ieder geval een interessante eerste helft.

Receiving Norse die de eerste vier beurten veel omslaan en (de goden zij dank) weinig schade realiseren betekent dat er genoeg gejaagd kan worden. Helaas wilden mijn Creepers daar geen gebruik van maken. Twee keer een 2-die met Black Bart op Snowblazer kunnen doen. Twee keer Really Stupid gefaald... Vervolgens (na zelf omgeslagen te zijn) een blitz actie om dan iets anders aan te pakken, om vervolgens double skull te gooien. Derde poging op Snowblazer wel dan? Nee, wederom het falen van Really Stupid.
Uiteindelijk werd het dus poging vier in het begin van de tweede helft (!!!) waarin Black Bart het wel snapte en dankzij Piling On ook Snowblazer het veld afwerkte, maar helaas met een simpele Badly Hurt.

Al met al 3-0 om de oren gekregen, waarbij de tweede helft (vanuit het oogpunt van de Creepers) nergens meer over ging. Een verwacht resultaat, en nu frustratie uitwerken op High Elves tijdens ronde 9...

Putrid Sump Pirates - Nordic Walkers: 0 - 3 (met 3 - 7 in casualties)

Overigens is Grace O'Malley wederom Blitzkrieger Bop voorbij en staat mijn blitzer nog vier casualties achter op die sneeuwtrol van Sebastiaan... Kom aan, kom aan, geen top vier, dus dan voor 'the second best prize'.

Darks Matter vs Big Kra'Mor will be played this Wednesday !

Match has been played; The Inevitables won 2-0

Orcs won the toss and chose to recieve. They picked up the ball, but where stymied moving forward when a Mummy invaded their cage. Attempted retreat went badly, allowing The Inevitables to take the ball and cage it forward to score in turn 8.

In the 2nd half the Kick-off was interrupted by a flying Doomdiver Goblin, resulting in the ball landing in The Inevitables endzone. Orcs got a Blitz, but didn't press forward, and the ball scattered out of bounds, giving The Inevitables a Touchback and allowing them to get it safe. The Inevitables once again caged the ball forwards, scoring in turn 6

Last drive saw the Orcs trying to make the 2-1, succesfully throwing the ball with a Goblin to get a Blitzer in scoring position. However, as the Blitzer was unsopported by his teammates, The Inevitables managed to take him down and assure no one could score in the Orcs last turn, leading to the final score of 2-0.

Nieuw Noord Gladiators (Jelmer) vs BUBBLE Ogres Reloaded (Draco) 1-0, 2-3.

The match started with +2 Fame for me and a pitch invasion which left only three of Draco's players standing. Things like that help a lot

After I was on vacation, mepmuff and I will be playing our round 8 Monday evening. This may be my last shot at winding up in the top half. Damn chaos... Maybe they'll be able to prove themselves next season!
