its a loss!
Game 7
High Elfs Vs Norse
Glen TV 138 vs Nordic Walkers TV 158
Previews, with 200k there is not much you can intelligently choose from. Its either a Wizard and a babe/card, or apo’s if you are more interested in keeping your team whole. Bribes could be possible, but usually require a more man situation. Getting sent off when trying to get your guys not hurt, might appeal to the Elf Coach.
Elfs are always tough to fight. You don’t need much to be able to profit from botched ballhandling. AG5 makes keeping the ball safe very hard. There are elfs 2 with Guard, that could spell trouble.
Personally I would not be too worried, but as we have seen in previous games. When the stakes are low, dangerous plays with a high chance of failure are sometimes preferable to being left standing. And who knows what might happen.
Game Commentary
The start was good for the Walkers. They got the fame, kick and kill in turn 1. The Apo’s started doing their magic, but it was one out quickly. The SnowTroll did his magic. First making a casualty and then, being on the ground attracting a foul that got sent off. The first half was in total control. 1cas, 2 KO and 2 fouls sent off. TD in turn 8 giving the Elf coach 1 turn to make the equalizer. Perfect defense. So no, more was needed.

Half 2 saw a quicksnap for the Elf team, a blitzpush brought the entire elf team way in the back field of the walkers. The Ball having safely landed on the endzone was also safe. Walkers were trying to be elflike with their AG4 players, and reroll failed. TD Turn 2 for the Elfs, the equalizer.
Elfs set up 1 square away from the LOS, thinking there would be no quicksnap. There was a quicksnap. The ball is secure. Carnage ensues. Quickly Walker players are removed from the field. The walker team faces an elf team that cannot fail a diceroll. There were entire (active) turns where the average elfdice was 4 or higher. T2, 3 and 4 was a quick turnover by the Walker coach, despite reroll usage. The real damage came from being unable to damage the elfs in any way, and the elfs making 4+ dodges without rerolls or dodge. Then came the horror. Triple skull by an unnamed Ulfwerner. This allowed the Elf coach to 3+ dodge, 2+dodge GFI GFI to corner the ballcarrier on the side. And 3+ dodge,2+doge, fgi, 4+ doge gfi blitz 1d on the ballcarrier to get it into the public. This worked
The ball ended up in the Elfs midfield. A turn was used to corner many player and pick up the ball with the AG4 thrower. It failed and ended in 2 tacklezones. A turn later the ball was in the hands of an elf lineman deep in the walker safezone. A desperate blitz chainpush was made and GFI was needed to get a Bezerker next to the ballcarrier. Another turnover. This is the story of the little elfcoach blasting the first win against the Nordic Walkers. In their punishment, no next tricks were awarded. One player rejoins the field to go back on 12 players. The lesson for today? Do not stall unless you can get away with it, but don’t count on it, if you need the win.

Eindelijk gerechtigheid.

Final score: BOR - PIR 2-1 2-3. (Jammer dat fouls niet meetellen, Tarly was in vorm)
Duh, Bloodbowl, enen en nog eens enen.

Nieuw Noord Gladiators (Jelmer) vs Dark Matters (Tirly) 2-0, 1-0

Tirly was very unlucky, and my wizard did his job well!

Lessons learnt for next time:
> When one of your player has Kick, do not forget to use it.
> When the opponent takes the wizard, do not forget it, and keep some safety even in offense.
