Sorry Draco,
It was shaping up to be a brutal game. There was a lot of bribing pre-match to get people to kill Snow Blazer. Ogre’s were never made to win a game, but they are certainly capable of doing damage. St5 and Mighty Blow are often a guarantee for carnage. So far the pre-game commentary.
The teams meet on a nice sunny day in the locality of Leiden. It turns out a chainsaw was wanted but the position was not filled, and had one shown up, It might not have been paid. Who did show up were the famous Brick and Grotty as well as 2 wandering interns from the local LUMC Hospital and a tea loving TwinningsBabe.
SirSebstar had the homecourt advantage. Having sufficiently bribed to referee, he got the signal to start before the Ogre’s knew that the game had started. A Blitz ensued. It was enough to mark all players, which threw the Ogre gameplan right out of the window (Hurt and get the ball, safely). The psychological blow was enormous but the Ogres geared for Plan B. Hitting everything into smashed potatoes. A LOT of pushes ensued, Not so usefull if you are pushing a sidestepper…. So much for plan B. The Walkers, having in Majority entered the Ogre half, caught wind of the Ogres plan, and copied its playbook. T1 2 Ogre casualties and a KO Snot. Command of the Ball was lost, the first pickup failed, but on T3 it was a Touchdown.
Anybody who wanted to have a whole team would have stopped and stalled, but blood was I the water, on the walls, basically everywhere and it was going to be a massacre!
Setup and start. The Ogres have a Plan C, “When I doubt, foul the living snot out of everything you can reach”. Plan C failed spectacularly, when a standing snot dodge from SnowBlazer to foul a Bezerker on groundlevel and did not make the dodge, and being in an Tacklers space being unable to cope. Crash and KO. The first half was more of the same with 2 more TD’s. All KO’s were advised to stay where they are, some obliged, others did not and promptly returned.
The second half the mood had suck to below freezing for some coaches. To add insult to injury, it became Very sunny, glaringly so even. What did start to work was Being down, not having armour broken and then Blitzing whatever was in sight even if AG2 had to dodge. Whatever was not killed outright, was subject to a one player foul. In rapid succession A BH, MNG and. Oh no! SnowBlazer is down.!!! A Snotling is trying to dodging and weaving and sprinting to the SnowTrolls candycane! All by accident(we are sure!) the snotling stood on the Trolls pinkytoe and broke the camel’s back. A Pure 6,6 on the injury roll was made that casualty was a permanent minus Strenght. A roar started to come from the vicinity of Outer Space…. (un)Luckily an Apo was on hand to fix the damage, with a pad on the back SnowBlazer was sent to the reserves to get a new candycane. Another foul was spotted and a touchdown was made. Ofcourse after spotting a foul the referee turns a blind eye, but it was such carnage that nobody managed to hold on to that fact! The Ogre’s got back together and with 3 ogre’s and a snotling on the field, they got ready for clobbering time, one last time. And then it started to rain candycanes. The snotling fans went wild, while the disciplined Walkers stayed put. But most of the Ogre’s were facedown, and if not the Ogre, then the person facing it.. It was a long hard day………
Endresult, 1 kill, 2 MNG, and lots of wounded and Ko’s. In total 9 regular casualties, 3 accidents, 2 send off. 0-6 in Touchdowns. Since SnowBlazer lives after suffering another game with a casualty (inflicted and suffered) Its selebrated as a win, in all other aspects, this game is best forgotten fast. It was not that much fun to destroy Draco’s (imaginary) chances (so quickly), and then trampling some more. Commiserations were extended.
Ogre’s are not meant to win, but a Blitz and bad dice in turn one, ruin any chance for fun carnage.
